Our official SwimRutland charity partner is Sue Ryder Thorpe hall hospice.
If you would like to join their fundraising team at SwimRutland, read on to find out about their work and how to sign up.
Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice is the only specialist palliative care inpatient unit in Peterborough and the surrounding areas. Their 20-bed hospice is surrounded by beautiful, tranquil countryside which complements the care and support they give to those with life-limiting conditions and their families. Thorpe Hall's expert team work seamlessly together to support people through the most difficult times of their lives, whether that's in the inpatient unit or out in the community thanks to the Thorpe Hall Hospice at Home team. Staff and volunteers at Thorpe Hall Hospice provide people with the compassion and care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can. Each day, it costs Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice £9,000 to run their services.
By choosing to fundraise for Thorpe Hall Hospice, you can help them to be there for people when it matters most. Did you know that raising £140 in sponsorship for your swimming challenge could fund a hospice nurse for a day? Or, that £240 could fund 4 sessions of bereavement counselling? Whatever the donation, every penny makes a difference to your local hospice. And, if you do choose to fundraise for us, our dedicated fundraising team will support you every step (or stroke!) of the way!
